In good writing, words become one with things.

Ralph Waldo Emerson

The people who influence us most are not those who buttonhole us and talk to us, but those who live their lives like the stars in heaven and the lilies in the field, perfectly simply and unaffectedly. Those are the lives that mould us. ~Oswald Chambers

If your actions inspire others to dream more, learn more, do more and become more, you are a leader.

Bruce Wayne (batman) is killed. By his father. Man that's sad, and of course ironic.

I'm sure he's not gone for good. They rarely do that, especially when said character is making good movies. Most likely it's a soap opera "twist" or something.

“You realize in their absence how valuable the character is,” said Dan DiDio, DC’s senior vice president and executive editor. “Bruce Wayne will always be back as Batman someday.”

Batman is one of those charaters that reminds us you don't have to have superpowers to be a hero. True, he's rich. Hmm. Maybe you don't have to be rich either. But that sounds a lot more difficult...

And now I'm reminded that we rarely point out the real heroes. That patient father, the repentant child, the ones who die for the people they love, the people who never stop believing. Hmm, it seems like maybe I did read a book like that once. I'll have to think about it...
